Meet  Maritza Gomez

Teaching at BPCP since: 2006

Why I’m at BPCP: I've taught at schools with academic and emerging curriculums, but find it most rewarding for children to teach them through the child-initiated developmental curriculum that we provide at BPCP.  Everything here is based on their interests not the adults’.  Each of our teachers has a passion to provide one-on-one attention to satisfy each child’s needs.  This is why I call BPCP home.

Career at BPCP: My experience at BPCP has been working with children of ages 3.5 to 4. I started my first two years in the Owl classroom with Ms.Toni and in my third year I began to co-teach with Ms.Elizabeth in the Zebra classroom. I also worked three years in the Hippo classroom as well. I am going on my fourth year of being back in the Zebra classroom.

Education: I have my degree in Early Childhood Education from California State University of L.A. and I continue my Child Development Education annually.
